Superhuman (Mac, Windows & web)

Step 1

Open the command palette

Press Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows from anywhere in Superhuman. The palette is the fastest route to every setting.

Step 2

Search for signatures

Type 'signature' and select the signatures entry from the results. You land directly in the signature editor without digging through menus.

Step 3

Pick the account

If you have connected more than one inbox, choose which account's signature you are editing. Each account keeps its own.

Step 4

Paste your design

Copy the rendered signature from your generator's preview and paste it into the editor. Superhuman preserves the formatting, links, and images as pasted.

Step 5

Compose and verify

Press C to start a new message and confirm the signature appears where you expect. Send yourself a test and check it in a regular inbox too.

Tips for Superhuman signatures

Get the best results when setting up your email signature.

The palette beats the menus
Nearly every Superhuman setting is quickest to reach by typing it into Cmd+K. For signatures, that means palette, 'signature', enter, and you are editing within seconds.
Separate sign-offs per inbox
Connected work and personal accounts each hold their own signature in Superhuman. Set both deliberately so a personal reply never goes out wearing your company branding, or the reverse.
Paste the preview, not markup
Superhuman's signature editor works with rich content. Copy the rendered result from your generator's preview page and paste it directly; there is no need to hunt for a code view.
Set once, use everywhere
Because signatures are stored with your Superhuman account, the design you save on desktop follows you to the mobile apps. Edit in one place and let sync handle the rest.
Stay within 600px
A signature capped at 600px wide fits Superhuman's clean composer and, more importantly, renders correctly for recipients reading on phones and in stricter clients like Outlook.

Re: Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Superhuman email signatures.

How do I open signature settings in Superhuman?+

Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows), type 'signature', and pick the signatures option. The editor is also available through Superhuman's Settings if you prefer clicking to typing, but the palette is quicker.

Does Superhuman support HTML signatures?+

Yes. Paste a rendered rich signature into the editor and Superhuman keeps the table layout, inline styles, links, and images. Designs built for Gmail-level strictness carry over cleanly, since Superhuman sends through Gmail and Outlook accounts.

Do I need to set my signature separately on Superhuman mobile?+

No. Signatures sync through your Superhuman account, so the design you save on desktop applies to mail you send from the iOS and Android apps as well. Edit once and the change follows you.

Can I have a different signature for each account in Superhuman?+

Yes. Every connected inbox holds its own signature, so a consulting address, a company address, and a personal one can each sign off differently. Select the account inside the signature editor before making changes.

Why is my logo missing after pasting into Superhuman?+

The image needs to live at a public HTTPS URL, and you should paste the rendered preview rather than raw code. Paste HTML from any generator, including BrandFooter's free one, via its preview and the hosted logo travels with it.

What is the 'Sent via Superhuman' line at the bottom of my emails?+

New accounts start with 'Sent via Superhuman' as the default signature. It is not a locked footer, just placeholder content, so open the signature editor and replace it with your own design whenever you like.
