1. Introduction

BrandFooter ("we", "us", "our") provides an email signature management service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. What We Collect

  • Account information — email address and authentication data managed through Supabase Auth.
  • Brand & template settings — logos, colors, fonts, layout choices, and social links you configure.
  • Uploaded images — logos and banners stored on our CDN.
  • Anonymous analytics — page views and feature usage, collected only with your consent via DataFast.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

Employee personal information never touches our servers. When a team member uses a claim link, they enter their name, title, phone number, and other personal details directly in their browser. The signature HTML is generated client-side and copied to their clipboard. This data is never transmitted to or stored on BrandFooter servers.

4. Cookies

  • bf_consent — stores your cookie consent preference (granted/denied). Expires after 1 year.
  • Supabase auth session — authentication cookies set when you log in.
  • DataFast analytics — only set if you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • DataFast — privacy-friendly analytics (with consent)
  • Polar.sh — payment processing
  • Cloudflare R2 — image storage and CDN
  • Vercel — hosting

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Port your data to another service
  • Withdraw consent for analytics at any time by clearing the bf_consent cookie
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all associated data (templates, images, settings) is permanently removed.
