Spark (Mac & Windows)

Step 1

Open Settings

On Mac, click Spark in the menu bar and choose Settings. On Windows, open the settings gear inside the app.

Step 2

Go to Signatures

Select the Signatures section and make sure signatures are switched on for your account.

Step 3

Add a new signature

Click the add button to create a signature, and name it something you can tell apart later, like 'Work full' or 'Personal short'.

Step 4

Paste your design

Copy the rendered signature from your generator's preview and paste it into Spark's editor. Formatting, links, and hosted images come through intact.

Step 5

Assign defaults and test

Set which signature each connected email account uses by default, then compose a message and send yourself a test to confirm the layout.

Step 2

Switch signatures in a draft

While composing, tap or swipe the signature block at the bottom of the draft to cycle through your saved signatures before sending.

Tips for Spark signatures

Get the best results when setting up your email signature.

Sync rides on your Spark account
Spark keeps signatures with your Spark login rather than on the device. Sign into the same account on every phone and computer and the whole signature list follows you automatically.
Multiple signatures are the point
Keep a full branded signature for first contact, a short one for ongoing threads, and separate versions per email account. Spark's in-draft switcher makes having several actually practical.
Rich paste beats retyping
Build the design in a generator, copy the rendered preview, and paste it into Spark's signature editor. The editor keeps inline styles and table structure, which manual typing cannot reproduce.
Host your images
Logos and photos should load from public HTTPS URLs so they display for recipients, not just inside Spark. Keep each image under 200KB for fast loading on mobile connections.
Verify outside Spark
Spark's composer renders your signature generously. The real test is how it lands in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail, so send tests to at least one of those before adopting a design.

Re: Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Spark email signatures.

Where are signature settings in Spark?+

Open Settings and choose Signatures, on both desktop and mobile. On Mac that is Spark > Settings in the menu bar; in the phone apps, tap your avatar or menu icon and then Settings to find the same section.

Do Spark signatures sync between my devices?+

Yes. Signatures are stored with your Spark account, so anything you create or edit on one device appears on the others once they sync. Just make sure every install is signed into the same Spark account.

Does Spark support HTML signatures?+

Spark's editor accepts pasted rich content and preserves inline styling, tables, links, and images. Copy the rendered preview from your generator and paste it in. If your version of Spark shows a code option in the signature editor, you can paste markup there instead.

Can I use different signatures for different accounts in Spark?+

Yes. Spark lets you assign a default signature to each connected email account, and you can still override the choice in any individual draft, so work and personal mail never share a sign-off by accident.

How do I change my signature while writing an email in Spark?+

Interact with the signature block at the bottom of the draft. Tapping or swiping it cycles through your saved signatures on mobile, and the desktop composer offers a picker, so you can swap designs right before hitting send.

Can my team share one signature design in Spark?+

Spark keeps signatures per user, so there is no built-in team rollout. To standardize a team, create one design and have each person paste their variant, or use a tool like BrandFooter that generates per-person signatures from a single shared template.
